The Town of Spavinaw is hosting its 8th Annual Soap Box Derby race down Main Street on Saturday, July 8.  The “unofficial” race will begin at 5 p.m., with sign-in starting at 4 p.m.

Each car entered will need a braking and basic steering system.  Only gravity power will be used – no spring launchers or motors are allowed.  The cars must fit on a 4 x 8 foot starting ramp.  Drivers must be 16 years old or younger and must be accompanied by a legal guardian at sign-in.  No car? A spot drawing will be held to choose a driver for an extra car.
