Tulsa University Football Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe will introduce 2006 Hurricane team at the annual Kickoff Luncheon scheduled for Thursday, August 17 at the DoubleTree Downtown Hotel at 12 noon. The annual event gives fans an opportunity to meet the TU football team and coaching staff, and get an inside look at the upcoming season.

The Hurricane is coming off of a Conference USA Championship and a win in the 2005 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Excitement for Tulsa football is at a high pitch as the Hurricane returns 10 starters on defense and seven starters on offense from a team that led the league in scoring and was among the best in several defensive categories.

Cost for the luncheon is $25.00 per person and there is no charge for parking. RSVPs are required.  Reservations will be taken by calling the Golden Hurricane Club at 631-2570, fax to 631-3722 or e-mail to Karla-campbell@utulsa.edu Deadline to RSVP is Friday, August 11.

Tulsa will open the season against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks at Skelly Stadium on Thursday night, August 31, at 6:00 p.m.
