Comedian Ron White in Tulsa today

Ron White, whose stand-up comedy acts have sold out across the U.S., will perform two live shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 23, at Osage Event Center, Tulsa.

White is best known as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking comedian from the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour.” He has two Grammy nominations, a Gold Record, two of the top rated one-hour specials in Comedy Central history, and a book that appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List. He also has CD and DVD sales of over 10 million units.

His latest DVD “Behavioral Problems” is scheduled for release April 21, 2009. White performed at a special Washington, D.C., event in March 2009 with all proceeds going to wounded U.S. military veterans.
Ron White joined the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” from 2000-2003. His first comedy album They Call Me Tater Salad attracted more than three million viewers making it the No. 1 show on cable in 2004.

This country boy from Texas first toured clubs and bars like most start-up comedians and soon became a regular headliner at clubs and concert halls across the United States. White has appeared on Late Night with David Letterman and Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.
