Oilers legends to gather for 3rd annual alumni game.

Fans of the Tulsa Oilers often speak of the good old days and they will get to relive them this Saturday evening as the team hosts it’s 3rd annual alumni game at the Oilers Ice Center.

The game is always a huge draw among fans of the Oilers and will feature legends from the past like Tom Karalis, Sly Naud, Doug Lawrence and Mike Berger from the 1993 CHL Championship team as well as more recent players and coaches such as the brothers Kaebel, Klage and Butch.  Current Oilers GM Taylor Hall, who also lists the 1993 CHL title AND National Hockey League experience in his resume will lace up the skates for the game.

Other players expected to take the ice include Troy Caley, Don MacIver, Larry Hopkins, and Craig Hamelin.  The coach of the 1993 champs, and former NHL ironman Garry Unger will also appear at the game as well.  The team will be coached by sportscasters Al Jerkins from channel 2 and Chris Lincoln of channel 8.

Tickets for the event are priced at $10 and are available at the Oilers office at 46th and Mingo.  Current season ticket holders will be allowed early access into the arena to secure the best seats.  For more information on the alumni game or for the upcoming 2010-2011 Tulsa Oilers season log on to tulsaoilers.com.
