Robbie Squires, most recently an Oklahoma-based fundraiser for the James Lankford Senate campaign, is joining Cox Communications in their government affairs department, multiple sources have confirmed to Tulsa Today.

Squires is an experienced Oklahoma political professional having served as scheduler to Rep. Tom Cole, finance director for the Oklahoma Republican Party, and a top fundraiser for Senator Jim Inhofe’s campaign organization.

Squires’ first political job was as a staff assistant to Cole in 2004.

Squires earned a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Oklahoma and attended Georgetown University in 2003.

Lankford’s chief of staff and senior political adviser, Randy Swanson, is also leaving to go to work for a utility company as first reported by The McCarville Report.

Tulsa Today reached out to Squires who confirmed the move, but has not yet returned a call for comment as of this posting.
