North Korea: Ballistic Holiday threat

Editorial: North Korea launched a rocket on America’s Independence Holiday to drive a point as it claimed success in testing it’s first intercontinental ballistic missile.

For all our Libertarian (foreign issues don’t matter) readers this means that radioactive rockets from an insane dictator may soon land on your children.

The rocket was estimated to have reached an altitude that “greatly exceeded” 2,500 kilometers, Japan said, prompting arms control specialist Jeffrey Lewis to respond on Twitter: “That’s it. It’s an ICBM. An ICBM that can hit Anchorage not San Francisco, but still.”

Readers should note that no military in history has ever revealed it’s full capacity while engaged in conflict. To North Korea; war with America and all of western civilization never ended. They declare this attitude continually in official media.

David Wright, of the Union of Concerned Scientists, wrote on the organization’s allthingsnuclear blog that the available figures implied the missile “could reach a maximum range of roughly 6,700 km on a standard trajectory.”

“That range would not be enough to reach the lower 48 states or the large islands of Hawaii, but would allow it to reach all of Alaska” the long recognized “Liberal” organization acknowledged.

The device came down in the Sea of Japan within Japan’s exclusive economic zone, Tokyo’s defense ministry said in a statement. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told reporters: “This launch clearly shows that the threat has grown.”

It is a watershed moment in Kim Jong-un’s wet dream to develop a nuclear weapon capable of hitting the US and destroying life as we know it.

The launch triggered a Twitter note from US President Donald Trump who urged China to “end this nonsense once and for all.”

President Trump’s tweet triggered America’s Communist News Network (CNN) to attack him again, but in predictably boring and mind numbingly stupid ways as proven policy idiots from Obama’s impotent presidency rose from disgrace to chirp “his comments risked undermining the credibility of both the US deterrent, and its assurances to its allies in Seoul and Tokyo.”

This former foreign policy adviser to Hillary Clinton added: “Picking a Twitter fight with a nuclear-armed dictator is not wise — this is not reality TV anymore” as if 67 years after North Korea invaded the South anything other than force has any credibility or provide any deterrent to the rouge regime under any US Administration – Democrat or Republican.

She also failed to note if Clinton’s approved sale of American nuclear material to Russia would result in that material returning to the US on the tips of North Korea, Chinese or Russian Communist rocket(s).

America will long remember the level of humanity, compassion and civilization North Korean totalitarian leadership showed in treatment of Otto Warmbier who went from healthy to comatose while captive in their care.

For readers that judge this editorial harsh; this morning The Telegraph posted a report from the North Korean media (KCNA) of leader Kim Jong-un taunting the US after carrying out the intercontinental ballistic missile test, saying it was a “gift” to “American bastards” on their independence day.

After personally overseeing the launch of the Hwasong-14 missile, KCNA reported, “he said American bastards would be not very happy with this gift sent on the July 4 anniversary.”

Breaking into peals of laughter, it said he “added that we should send them gifts once in a while to help break their boredom.”

The North Korean leader, who said the missile looked “as handsome as a good-looking boy,” also said the country would not negotiate with the United States.
