Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt hailed the state’s victory in its lawsuit challenging the implementation of the Affordable Care Act saying, “Today’s ruling is a consequential victory for the Rule of Law. The administration and its bureaucrats in the IRS handed out billions in illegal tax credits and subsidies and vastly expanded the reach of the health care law because they didn’t like the way Congress wrote the Affordable Care Act. That’s not how our system of government works.”
Governor Fallin agreed saying, “For years, I have argued that Obamacare represents bad policy, irresponsible spending, an outrageous expansion of federal authority into the private sector, and unconstitutional law. Since 2012, the state of Oklahoma has been fighting the implementation of the ACA, both to protect our citizens from the negative effects of this law – including devastating cuts to Medicare — and to stand up for Constitutional principles.
Analysis: According to Politico, Rand Paul talked foreign policy. Rick Santorum decried flagging family values. Michele Bachmann called for war on radical Islam and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas captivated the crowd, but video of Rep. Jim Bridenstine and Glenn Beck is also gaining traction.
“The Values Voter conference offered an early glimpse of what’s sure to be a spirited battle for the allegiance of Christian conservatives in 2016.” Politico said.
It is only the third time in league history that a team has received the prestigious award in consecutive years.
“It is a tremendous honor for the Drillers organization to again be recognized as Texas League Organization of the Year,” said General Manager Mike Melega. “To be honored like this takes a full team effort from our amazing fans, a great city and a tremendous front office staff, and we are blessed with all three.”
In an exclusive report by Breitbart Texas, it appears that Battleground Texas (BGTX) may have failed to take any action regarding the “admission” of an undercover volunteer with BGTX that she had broken multiple election laws, according to a new video investigation by journalist James O’Keefe’s organization Project Veritas.
The allegations come on the heels of sting earlier this year that busted BGTX, a group attempting to turn Texas blue, for illegally copying voters’ personal data for campaign purposes.
TU vs. Texas State (Photo by Greg Duke)
TULSA, OK— It was a classic setup on Saturday night in H.A. Chapman Stadium. The TU Golden Hurricane, who had trailed the entire game against the Texas State University Bobcats, were in the red zone with just seconds remaining when quarterback Dane Evans called his own number and crashed through the Bobcat defensive line on a one-yard keeper to tie the game.
The TU offense had effectively erased a 14-point deficit and forced their second overtime of the 2014 season, the other coming on opening night against Tulane. Unfortunately, after the teams knotted the score not once but twice in two overtime rounds, head coach Bill Blankenship’s young team fell short of a second overtime miracle and lost 37-34.
