Thunderbird reclaims troubled teens

thunderbirdclassThunderbird Youth Academy, located in Pryor, Ok., was established in 1993. The program is designed to reclaim troubled, at risk teens and redirect them to make positive changes in their lives. Thunderbird, a pilot program of the National Guard Youth Challenge Program, works with 16-18 year-olds works to infuse its students with values, self-discipline, education and life skills in order to lead productive lives.

Sean England is a recruiter at Thunderbird Academy who says that, although there are plenty of candidates for the school, recruiting the right students can be difficult.

Tulsa’s national rating for singles

singlesmeetWith 45 percent of all U.S. adults being single during one of the most family-oriented times of the year, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2016’s Best & Worst Cities for Singles.

Some singles are closer to a happily ever after than they think, but it depends on where they live. To identify the cities in which singles have the highest chance of finding a significant other, WalletHub’s analysts compared the 150 most populated U.S. cities across 29 key metrics. The data set ranges from “share of single population” to “number of online dating opportunities” to “nightlife options per capita.” Tulsa ranks 93 on the list.
