Moral Myopia at Ground Zero Putting up a monument to Islam at Ground Zero is not just insensitive but provocative.

Public Pension Concerns Growing Concern is increasing daily about Tulsa and Oklahoma’s liability in pensions for public employees.  Union officials have been remarkably silent on the subject, but one Tulsa firefighter claimed recently on local talk radio, “After we have our [retirement] cake the City does not give our pensions another dime.”  From Tulsa Today’s analysis, the firefighter is telling the truth, but without the whole story.

Shout It Out Tour with Hanson

Share

If you haven’t already got your ticket for this Wednesday night show, I encourage you to do so now. Tulsa’s own Hanson will be here to perform live at the iconic Cain’s Ballroom in support of their most recent album that was released June 8th, 2010, “Shout It Out.”

Hanson has come a long way since their infamous “MMMBop” hit of 1997. Though the chorus of that song will always ring in our minds, the boys from Tulsa have matured and evolved immensely in their music careers. Hanson is also very involved with activism including paring up with Toms Shoes and “Take The Walk” which is a cause to fight poverty and HIV/Aids in Africa. Those are just a couple; you can learn more about all the causes they are involved in by going to their website at www.hanson.net.
