TULSA, OK-- For the first time in the teams post-1992 history, the Tulsa Oilers are part of an NHL farm system. Oilers coach Bruce Ramsay announced Thursday that the team would be the Central Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL and the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

As the weather cools down and September creeps in, it can only mean one thing; football season is among us. The University of Tulsa opens it's season on Sunday in a nationally televised game at two-time
defending Conference USA champion East Carolina. The Golden Hurricane then return home to open the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, September 11.
Single game tickets to all six home games are set to go on sale today at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are reasonably priced at $15, $25 and $35 and may be purchased at the Donald W. Reynolds Center athletic ticket office or online at the official TU athletic site. The Golden Hurricane will host Bowling Green, Central Arkansas, Tulane, Rice, UTEP and Southern Mississippi this season.
