Violent Crime Keeps Falling

A new mid-year crime report delivers more clear proof: President Donald J. Trump’s law-and-order agenda is crushing violent crime across America the White House declared in a Tuesday release.
 
According to the Major Cities Chiefs Association, homicides in the nation’s largest cities are down 17.2% from the first half of last year — alongside sharp declines in robberies, rapes, aggravated assaults, and overall violent crime. That translates to nearly 14,200 fewer reported violent crimes in just six months.

CBP Hosts Recruitment Events

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is continuing nationwide recruitment with multiple virtual events in the month of August, including webinars for air interdiction agent, U.S. Border Patrol agent, and CBP officer positions along the Northern Border. The agency will also host a CBP-wide virtual career expo highlighting a variety of career paths across the organization.

Sentenced For Threatening Feds

A Skiatook man was sentenced Monday after a federal jury found him guilty of posting on X threatening U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He wrote that he would shoot, kill, and gun down agents. U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell sentenced Logan Christopher Murfin, 26, to 21 months imprisonment, followed by two years of supervised release.

In April 2026, Murfin was found guilty on ten counts. Five of the counts were for Threatening to Assault and Murder Federal Law Enforcement Officers with Intent to Impede, Intimidate, Interfere, and Retaliate; and five counts of Interstate Communication with a Threat to Injure.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, & U.S. Declare

One year ago, President Trump hosted a historic White House summit with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia where President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan signed the Joint Declaration for peace.

The joint statement recognizing this first anniversary, the parties declared “there is deep pride in what our countries have achieved together and great resolve to build upon the foundation that ended decades of conflict and put the South Caucasus on a path towards a more prosperous future.”
