Guidance Transparency Act Signed

Rep. Rob Hall, R-Tulsa, and Sen. Micheal Bergstrom, R-Adair, commented on the signing of Senate Bill 1433, known as the Guidance Transparency Act, a measure to increase transparency and accountability in state government.

SB1433 requires state agencies to make guidance documents publicly available, both online and at their principal place of business, ensuring Oklahomans have clear access to agency policies and interpretations. The measure also requires agencies to submit guidance documents to the Office of Administrative Rules for publication in a searchable, centralized format.

Chris Tomlin Headlines Rededicate 250

Monday, Freedom 250 announced that Grammy-winning American contemporary Christian artist and worship leader Chris Tomlin will headline Rededicate 250 on Sunday, May 17, 2026, on the National Mall. The event will serve as the backdrop for a historic gathering as Americans from every background come together in preparation for the nation’s 250th birthday through Scripture, testimony, prayer, and a collective rededication of our country as One Nation under God.

Two Systems. One State. Opposite Results.

Oklahoma has something almost no one talks about. We run two completely different education systems—side by side, funded by the same taxpayers, serving many of the same students.

One is widely respected across the country. Employers praise it. Students line up for it. Other states try to copy it. The other struggles year after year. Parents are frustrated. Outcomes lag. Confidence erodes.

Most Oklahomans know both systems exist. Almost no one stops to ask the obvious question: How can the same state produce both a national model and a systemically failing system at the same time?

Efficiency, Accountability, Performance

In an Executive Order signed yesterday, President Donald J. Trump outlined the standards for Federal Contracting. Utilizing the authority vested by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America the order directs:

Section 1.  Purpose.  The American people expect their Government to operate with integrity, efficiency, and transparency.  For too long, Federal procurement has tolerated unpredictable costs, bloated overhead, and weak performance incentives.  The United States Government must adopt the best business practices to protect taxpayer dollars, hold contractors accountable, and achieve demonstrable returns on investment.

When Are Republicans Not Republican?

Updated: The Tulsa Republican Club (TRC) has been dissociated from the Republican Party of Oklahoma (OKGOP) by the State Executive Committee, the governing body of the party with all 77 Counties represented. They took this unusual formal action based on TRC’s public and private acts and statements asserted to be contrary to Republican principles.
