Republicans reset their party beginning at precinct meetings Tuesday and then at the County Convention. This year, some want to grow the party to support President Trump’s success in expanding the base. Others want to shrink the party to make it easier to control in their own image. The “expanding” folk welcome policy discussions, adherence to state rules, and conservative leadership. To make your voice heard, bring your voter registration card with state issued ID, and attend these short but important meetings organized by State House Districts within Tulsa County.

In a release today, the State Election Board noted removal of inactive and duplicate voter registrations is a thorough, multi-step process required by law every two years following the General Election. The Board completed its routine, statutorily-mandated, biennial voter list maintenance on Friday, January 17 and Tuesday, January 21. The process removed 129,680 inactive voter registrations and 2,242 duplicate voter registrations from Oklahoma’s voter rolls.

Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College will present “Pictures Reimagined” Jan. 25, in a performance that blends music, modern dance and aerialist art to celebrate the different mediums of artistic expression.
The concert will feature Perpetual Motion Dance, a premier Oklahoma City-based modern and aerial dance company, that will perform alongside the Signature Symphony for jaw-dropping feats by the state’s finest movement artists. The second half of the performance will showcase Modest Mussorgsky’s epic “Pictures at an Exhibition.” Known for musically representing various works of art, this piece will be presented with a unique Tulsa twist—the movements will be re-imagined by local artists it was announced today.

Tuesday January 14, Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters announced a $474 million lawsuit against Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Deputy Director Peter Flores. The lawsuit seeks compensation for the severe financial and operational strain that their failed border policies have placed on Oklahoma’s public schools.
