Tulsa’s pop quartet Stars Go Dim bursts into the summer season with airplay in Buckle retail stores nationwide, an online buzz growing to a growling roar, and a performance slot during Tulsa’s popular DFest Music Conference.
The soulful songsters are set to impact Buckle shoppers nationwide this summer. The new deal with Stars Go Dim and DMX Music and Buckle retailers will result in SGD tunes shot through the speakers starting this month.
Stars Go Dim is generating a growing popularity in the online community as well. The group’s single "Crazy" remains in prime positioning in the Top 20 singles chart on Alternative Addiction.com, one of the largest websites dedicated to Alternative Rock that serves the savvy 18-24 year old crowd. ClearChannel is currently streaming Stars Go Dim tracks on its "New Music" website; with frequent hits from online fans, Stars Go Dim is vying for airplay on ClearChannel stations.
The group gears up for a performance at the monster 7th Annual Diversafest Music Conference & Festival, or "DFest." The largest in Oklahoma, Dfest will overtake Tulsa July 25-26, and Stars Go Dim is slated to perform alongside mainstream music headliners such as All-American Rejects, The Roots and Paramore. As one of 120 unsigned acts, Stars Go Dim was chosen for a performance slot from more than 1,000 entrants. More than 60,000 concert attendees are expected throughout the two days. Stars Go Dim has postponed release of the full-length album, Love Gone Mad, to early in 2009. However, the group is set to release a five-song EP in September in anticipation of the full project.
