The launch of Guardian 2.0, Oklahoma’s next-generation campaign finance & public reporting system will happen today officials declare. The old Guardian system has been shut down. The fast-paced development effort began in early 2025 by the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.
Improvements promised include a mobile-friendly user interface and capability to host local campaign finance reports, which currently are only accessible in some jurisdictions in-person. Senate Bill 890, enacted in May, gave the Ethics Commission exclusive authority over most county and municipal campaign finance reporting.
All Political Committees next Contribution and Expenditure 3rd Quarter reports are due Oct. 1-31, and Executive Only Lobbyists reports are due Oct. 15th. The old Guardian system, which launched in 2014, has been offline since Sept. 19 as staff prepared to launch the revamped version. Click here for more information.
