Tulsa Oilers right winger T.J. Caig helped lead the team to a 9-2-1 record in the month of November.
He’s had 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points and had a stretch of four straight 3-point games.
Caig is also a key player in the rebirth of the team’s winning ways. Now the CHL has recognized his efforts again in naming him the Oakley CHL Three Stars award winner.
The way the CHL determines the winner goes like this; if you are selected as the first star of the game you get 5 points towards the award. Caig did that three times in November, for 15 points. If you are chosen 2nd start you receive three points; Caig got that nod three times as well for 9 points. Had Caig been chosen as a 3rd star he would have received one point, Caig’s 24 points for the month outdistanced his competitors by a wide margin, most of whom had 13 points.
The Oilers travel to South Dakota to take on the Rapid City Rush this weekend , then they are in Allen, Texas next Friday to take on the Americans in a rematch of the Oilers 4-0 shutout back on November 3rd. Those games can be heard on an internet broadcast at tulsaoilers.com The Oilers next home game will be another rematch, as they take on the defending CHL champion Texas Brahmas on December 12th.
Tickets for all Oilers home games can be purchased at tulsaoilers.com, the BOK Center box office, and all Reasors locations.
