T.J. Caig and Steve Enlow headed to CHL All-Star Game.

TULSA, OK–It was announced today that Tulsa’s player representative to the CHL All-Star Game will be forward T.J. Caig.  Caig was tabbed to replace forward Rob Hisey, who is on a call up to the AHL’s Springfield Falcons.

  The CHL all-stars will take on the South Texas all-stars, comprised of players from the host Laredo Bucks, the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, and Corpus Christi IceRays. Caig, 5-foot-11, 206 pounds from Kelowna, BC leads the CHL with nine power play goals. He is second on the Oilers in scoring with 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points. He will replace teammate Rob Hisey, who was the leading vote getter for the CHL starting team. Hisey is currently on call up with the Springfield Falcons fo the American Hockey League, where has scored three goals and one assist for four points in four games. While Caig will be the Oilers’ representative on the all-star team, Kevin Ulanski of the Colorado Eagles will fill Hisey’s spot in the CHL starting line-up.

  The Central Hockey League has announced Tulsa Oilers equipment manager Steve Enlow will be one of the equipment managers for the 2010 Central hockey league All-Star game presented by Laredo Energy. Enlow is in his 17th season with the Oilers. He was the very first recipient of the CHL Equipment Manager of the Year in 2006. In all, 28 of his 30 seasons working in hockey have been in Tulsa. He also worked in the NHL with the Colorado Rockies (now the New Jersey Devils) and in honor of his work for the Oilers, the team named their locker room after him at the BOK Center. That honor came when the team concluded the 2007-08 season, its final year in the Tulsa Convention Center.

The game will be in Laredo, Texas on Wednesday January 13th.

  The Oilers will be in action on the road this Friday evening in Wichita for a 7:05pm contest with the Thunder in the Kansas Coliseum.  Tulsa will play it’s next home game on January 22nd facing the Thunder in the amazing BOK Center at 7:35pm.  Tickets for that game and all remaining Oilers home games can be purchased at the BOK Center Box Office, online at tulsaoilers.com and all Reasors locations.
