Oilers endgame begins with shootout loss.

BOSSIER CITY, LA-You have to admire a team of guys who manage to take a playoff team to a shootout when the game is meaningless in terms of the CHL playoffs, but that is exactly what the Tulsa Oilers did Thursday night as the Oilers took on the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in the CenturyTel Center.

Jake Riddle of the Oilers anf Travis Clayton of the Mudbugs traded 2nd period powerplay goals and Oilers goalie Marty Magers stoned the Bugs for 17 shots through the 3rd period and overtime.  Mudbug goalie John DeCaro closed his cage for the shootout while David Rutherford and Christ St. Croix scored to give the Mudbugs their 2nd, meaningless point for the win.

The Oilers travel to DeSoto, Mississippi for a pair of games against the Riverkings tonight and Saturday night to conclude the 2009-10 CHL season.  They were eliminated from playoff consideration last week after two consecutive losses against the Colorado Eagles, and by key victories by their closest rivals, the Missouri Mavericks.

The Oilers are taking reservations for season tickets for the 2010-11 campaign now, and information on pricing and seat selection can be obtained by calling 632-PUCK (7825) or by visiting tulsaoilers.com
