Sheryl Crow and the Thieves live at the Brady Theater

There is no reason to stay home Tuesday night with a show like this coming to town. Sheryl Crow is on tour with her 7th Studio Album “100 Miles from Memphis” that was released July 20th, 2010 on A&M Records. The album has a classic soul vibe and features lead single "Summer Day". Her label is hoping to cross barriers with this album to entice people of all ages and hopefully bring a younger fan base as well that can inspire young music fans to investigate the landscape beyond processed pop and Auto-Tune.

Sheryl Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri, February 11th, 1962 and after college at the University of Missouri, she became a music teacher at Kellison Elementary. This job allowed her to sing in bands on the weekends which started her music career.  Her first professional singing gigs were jingles for Famous-Barr, McDonalds and Toyota. She was quoted in a 60 Minutes segment as saying she made $40,000 on her McDonald’s commercial alone.

From 1987-1989, Sheryl toured with Michael Jackson for the “Bad World Tour” as a back-up vocalist. Crow also sang in the short-lived Steven Bochco drama, Cop Rock, in 1990. The following year, she performed "Hundreds of Tears", which was included in the Point Break soundtrack, and sang a duet with Kenny Loggins on the track "I Would Do Anything" from his album Leap of Faith.

After Sheryl’s first album that debuted in 1993, she has been singing hit songs ever since like; “All I Wanna Do”, “Strong Enough” and “If It Makes You Happy”. There is sure to be more hit songs off her newest released album as Sheryl has a knack for knowing what her fans want.

There are special tickets being sold for this concert; there is the “Meet and Greet” package and the “Hot Seat” package that allows for the fan to have an up close and personal experience like special seating, exclusive merchandise, meeting and photos with Sheryl Crow along with special parking and food & beverage gift cards. Be sure to check out the options at www.bradytheater.com.

Graham Colton, an Oklahoma Native is opening for Sheryl Crow. He is most known for his single “Best Days” that was featured on the television series American Idol. He has toured with the likes of John Mayer, Counting Crows, Maroon 5, and the Dave Matthews Band.  Here is just another reason to attend the show; it’s always good to support local artists.
