Legendary performers The Charlie Daniels Band will perform at the Event Center at River Spirit on Friday, November 1.
“We’re excited guests will have the opportunity to spend an evening with the Charlie Daniels Band,” said General Manager, Jerry Floyd. “The Event Center at River Spirit provides fans with a unique and intimate concert experience. We know it’s a performance our guests won’t soon forget!”
The Charlie Daniels Band is recognized throughout the world for their own unique sound, referred to as CBD style, a mix that is part country music, part southern rock and all-American. The band is widely known for their platinum single “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” which topped both the country and pop charts and won a Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance. Other hits include “In America,” “The South’s Gonna Do it Again,” and “Long-Haired Country Boy.”
Singer, guitarist and fiddler Charlie Daniels has more than five decades of experience entertaining fans.
Raised among the longleaf pines of North Carolina, Charlie began his career playing bluegrass music with the Misty Mountain Boys. After moving to Nashville in 1967, he began making a name for himself as a songwriter, session musician and producer. Elvis Presley recorded a tune Charlie co-wrote titled “It Hurts Me,” which was released on the flip side of “Kissin’ Cousins.” He played on such landmark albums as Bob Dylan’s Nashville Skyline and tried his hand at producing on the Youngbloods’ “Elephant Mountain” and “Ride the Wind.”
In 2008, Daniels was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, and went on to be inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame.
Tickets for The Charlie Daniel’s Band start at $40. Fans can purchase tickets at www.riverspirittulsa.com and the River Spirit Casino Box Office beginning at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 10th.
