Tulsa chills St. Charles

OilersLogoST. CHARLES, MO.—The Tulsa Oilers started March in the manner that they ended February, handing the St. Charles Chill a 4-2 loss in the Family Arena on Saturday night.

After falling behind 2-0 in the first period the Oilers surged back on a pair of goals in the second and third period to catch, then pass St. Charles to win the game.  Ryan Menei scored and even strength goal in the second period and added a power play goal in the third period.

Kyle Bochek scored a shorthanded goal in the second period and Blair Macauley added a goal in the third to seal the comeback win for Tulsa, which was the teams fifth straight and their tenth in the last 11 contests.  Ben Gordon extended his consecutive points streak to seven games with either a goal or an assist, with two helpers on two of the Oilers goals on Saturday night.

The win sees the Oilers improve to 29-23-3 with 61 points, good enough to put them in sole possession of sixth place in the CHL standings with eleven games remaining on the schedule.

The Oilers return home to face the Rapid City Rush in a pair of game next weekend in the BOK Center.
