Oklahoma superstar Reba McEntire is featured on the Aug. 25 cover of Country Weekly magazine with a message of hope and togetherness and a new song, “Pray for Peace,” her first new music in two years.

Reba talks about the song, which was inspired by recent news events, in the Country Weekly cover story titled “A Gift from God.”

“What is happening in the world is really sad,” she tells the magazine. “I know it’s breaking God’s heart because it is making me cry, too. This song is a stirring message at a time when people need to hear it.”
