I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the Garden of Gethsemane. Even as the Son of God, Jesus understood the weight of human sorrow. In that sacred moment, He felt deep anguish and prayed that the cup might pass from Him. Yet He chose to surrender to the Father’s will—for one purpose: our freedom.
Easter reminds us that freedom is never accidental. It is secured through courage, conviction, and sacrifice.
Our Founding Fathers understood that principle. They envisioned a nation where individuals could live free from tyranny and coercion—where faith and liberty could flourish together.
Today, those principles face serious challenges. Too many schools are failing to teach foundational skills like math and reading, while promoting ideas that divide rather than unite. Crime is rising in many communities. Common sense too often seems absent from our legal and cultural institutions.
But I remain hopeful.
Victory is possible when people of faith and conviction stand together with clarity and purpose. To me, that victory means ensuring that every child—and every generation that follows—has the opportunity to live in freedom and fulfill their God-given potential.
That kind of future requires action.
