Theatre Tulsa announced its full slate of shows today for its historic 93rd season.
“We’re thrilled to announce a huge and varied season of 10 productions,” said Sara Phoenix, artistic director of Theatre Tulsa. “From massive musicals to intimate dramas to family-friendly shows, we have something for anyone who enjoys high-quality local theatre.”
SummerStage Tulsa performing arts festival announced its 2015 lineup of artists today. The festival is held during June at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and features a variety of local entertainment offerings from musicals, drama, comedy and dance to cabaret theatre. The result is a colorful, diverse and high-energy festival that culminates in a unique departure from main season arts events. SummerStage Tulsa offers something for everyone.
The daily band lineups for Rocklahoma–America’s biggest Memorial Day Weekend party–May 22, 23 and 24 at “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK were announced Tuesday.
Rocklahoma returns for its ninth year with a lineup featuring top current rock artists and classic bands. Jason Aldean takes the stage at the BOK Center
Jason Aldean brought his “Burn It Down” tour to Tulsa’s BOK Center on Friday, April 10 and fire and pyrotechnics began from the outset.
The raucous crowd, most of whom sang along with Aldean all evening, was treated to a high energy show that was balanced with music from all his albums, including several from his most recent effort, “Old Boots, New Dirt.”

These are just three of the hundreds of satirical effigies mounted at the Fallas festival in Valencia, Spain, which celebrates its noisy finale this week.
Politicians, celebrities and fantasy characters star in the colourful, often grotesque “ninots” — groups of cardboard and polystyrene models built by local artists and placed in the streets.
For nearly three weeks, giant firecrackers have boomed around the city and the smell of fried pastries and paella have filled the air, leading up to Thursday’s finale when about 760 ninots will be burned in a last night of revelry.
