Mullet Over #640

EarthFromSpace1Trivia Truths:  You think that you have weight-gain problems? Scientists have calculated that the earth averages a gain of approximately 80,000 pounds of mass each day due to crashing meteors and a variety of other space debris.

Helium is the element that has the lowest boiling point (-452.1 degrees Fahrenheit).

Climate change PROVED to be ‘nothing but a lie’

InhofeGreatestHoaxDebate about climate change is finished as it has been categorically proved NOT to exist, one of the world’s leading meteorologists has claimed. Yes again we note, Senator Jim Inhofe was right all along.

In a detailed report in the UK’s Express, John Coleman, who co-founded the Weather Channel, shocked academics by insisting the theory of man-made climate change was no longer scientifically credible.

Instead, what ‘little evidence’ there is for rising global temperatures points to a ‘natural phenomenon’ within a developing eco-system.

NASA: Earth’s Ocean Abyss has not warmed

Ocean1The cold waters of Earth’s deep ocean have not warmed measurably since 2005, according to a new NASA study, leaving unsolved the mystery of why global warming appears to have slowed in recent years.

Scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, analyzed satellite and direct ocean temperature data from 2005 to 2013 and found the ocean abyss below 1.24 miles (1,995 meters) has not warmed measurably.

Mars MAVEN spacecraft enters orbit

NASAMavenNASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) spacecraft successfully entered Mars’ orbit at 7:24 p.m. PDT (10:24 p.m. EDT) Sunday, Sept. 21, where it now will prepare to study the Red Planet’s upper atmosphere as never done before. MAVEN is the first spacecraft dedicated to exploring the tenuous upper atmosphere of Mars.

“As the first orbiter dedicated to studying Mars’ upper atmosphere, MAVEN will greatly improve our understanding of the history of the Martian atmosphere, how the climate has changed over time, and how that has influenced the evolution of the surface and the potential habitability of the planet,” said NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. “It also will better inform a future mission to send humans to the Red Planet in the 2030s.”
