TULSA, OK—The Tulsa Shock, fresh off of a 101-93 victory over the Chicago Sky on opening night looked to make it two in a row when they hosted the Seattle Storm last night in the BOK Center. The Shock held the Storm to just 15 points through the game’s first 20 minutes and showed an impressive amount of defense as the Shock defeated the Storm 68-45 moved to 2-1 on the young season.

Skylar Diggins joins the 1K club

When she drained two foul shots in Tuesday night’s WNBA game between the Tulsa Shock and Seattle Storm, third year point guard Skylar Diggins scored her 1000th career point as a professional.

Drafted in 2013 in the third round by the Shock, the 5-8 star from Notre Dame has solidified herself as the post-relocation superstar for the Tulsa Shock, and is one of the catalysts for the Shock’s early success in the 2015 WNBA campaign.

SEATTLE, WA—Bouncing back from a hard defeat at home is never easy, but the Tulsa Roughnecks managed to do exactly that as the handed the Seattle Sounders a 5-1 defeat at home on Friday night.

The Roughnecks Adam Black turned in a “brace” (two goals in soccer-speak) and Kidd Nwabueze, Lucas Cordeiro and former Sounder Sammy Ochoa.

Black opened the scoring in just the 10th minute.

TULSA, OK—Its been six years in the making.

When the final horn sounded in the BOK Center on Saturday night the Tulsa Shock (1-1) capped off a dominating 101-93 win over the Chicago Sky (1-1) when Odyssey Sims drained two foul shots with seconds left on the clock.

The wait is almost over for the faithful fans of the WNBA’s version of the Bad News Bears.

The ladies in black and yellow are loaded and ready to hit the court for the 2015 WNBA season and, for the first time since the move from Detroit in 2010, serious positive buzz precedes opening tipoff, which will take place tomorrow night at the Target Center in Minneapolis against the Minnesota Lynx.
