Conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza appeared on “The Kelly File” Monday night, with an analogy that caused host Megyn Kelly to laugh aloud and wonder if the conversation had “jumped off the deep end.”

D’Souza, who was promoting his new book “America: Imagine a World Without Her” and his upcoming documentary “America,” told Kelly that he believes Obama emerged from a generation that believes “America is globally a force for evil.”

“If you think that America is a global bully, you will try to shrink America’s power in the Middle East and around the world,” he continued. “He’s trying to achieve the objective of shrinking America’s power in the world.”
