Oilers Out of Playoffs

Despite having the most wins in 4 seasons and with the potential to tie the Missouri Mavericks in points with 3 games still to play, the Tulsa Oilers have been eliminated from playoff consideration after they suffered two consecutive losses on the road in Colorado and the Mavericks posting two wins in the same time frame.

The Oilers have four wins three losses and 2 overtime losses to the Mavericks while the Missouri team holds a 5-2-2 and wins a playoff berth based upon the CHL win-loss tiebreaker.   It’s a disappointing end to what has been a wonderful recovery year for a Tulsa team that only posted 18 wins in 2008-09.

The Oilers will close out the 2009-10 season with three road games in Bossier on Thursday night against the MudBugs, and in Mississippi against the Riverkings on Friday and Saturday.

The Oilers have begun to take reservations for 2010-11 season tickets.  Information about pricing and seat selection can be obtained by calling the Oilers office at 632-PUCK (7825) or by visiting the Oilers website at www.tulsaoiler.com.
