Arena Football League realigns with new teams for 2011.

TULSA, OK–The Arena Football League recently reorganized the structure of it’s divisions for the 2011 AFL season.

Six new teams were added to the league and it became necessary for the divisions to be realigned. Four of the teams had recent previous lives in the “former” Arena League and all of the new cities were once part of the AFL during it’s 23-year history.

The new teams are the Atlanta-Georgia Force, San Jose Sabercats, the Philadelphia Soul, Pittsburgh Power, and the Kansas City Command.. The Command will play in the National Conference’s Central Division with Chicago, Iowa, Dallas and the Talons.

The 2011 schedule will be released shortly. The season is expected to start the weekend of March 11.
