Hank Williams Jr. returns July 2

Hank Williams Jr. is known for having a good time when it comes to performing his extraordinary collection of hits for fans. On July 2, he’s looking forward to all his rowdy friends joining him at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.  Tickets start at $110 and go on sale May 26.

Since beginning his legendary career in 1964, Williams has released 50 studio albums and 14 compilations that have sold more than 36 million copies worldwide. To date, seven albums have peaked at No. 1, including a run of six consecutive chart toppers from 1984-1988.

He has released 90 singles with a staggering 39 peaking in the Top 10 of the Billboard country music charts, including eight songs reaching No. 1. From 1980 until 1986, Williams released 19 consecutive singles that peaked in the Top 10.

Among his No. 1 singles are “Eleven Roses,” “Texas Women,” “Dixie on My Mind,” “All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down),” “Honky Tonkin’,” “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” “Mind Your Own Business” and “Born to Boogie.”

Coming from country royalty as the son of Hank Williams, Williams Jr. made his Grand Ole Opry debut at 11 and began work on his first album at the age of 14.

While the two never worked together due to his father’s death in 1953, Williams used electronic merging technology in 1989 to record the duet “There’s a Tear in My Beer” with his late father. It resulted in Williams winning a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration, and the video showing both performing together earned Best Video of the Year honors by the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association.

Since 1989, Williams has also been known for delivering the opening anthem to the NFL’s weekly Monday Night Football telecast by performing the song, “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight.” The song was originally released in 1984 and peaked at No. 10, but would later earn him four consecutive Emmys from 1991-1994.

Throughout his career, Williams has been named the Entertainer of the Year five times by the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.
