Sam Noble Museum honored
First Lady Michelle Obama joined Institute of Museum and Library Services Director Susan H. Hildreth yesterday to present the 2014 National Medal for Museum and Library Service to Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History.
In its 20th anniversary year, the National Medal is the nation’s highest honor given to museums and libraries for service to the community. Michael Mares, Director of Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, and community member Ernesto Vargas accepted.
Opie & Anthony on Obamacare
As highlighted by The Blaze Thursday, the hosts of the popular, politically incorrect “Opie & Anthony Show” on SiriusXM Radio went off on Obamacare after revealing their health care plans have been cancelled due to new regulations.
Greg “Opie” Hughes, with a wife and two kids, said he recently received a cancellation, voiding a health care plan that was “perfect” for him and his family. He also angrily described just how complicated the associated paperwork is, which he said might be done on purpose.

NewsOk.com published a report from CMT’s Alison Bonaguro today that Country music power couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are moving from Owasso to Nashville, Tenn., as they prepare for life as empty-nesters and renew their country music careers.
“I have loved living in Oklahoma,” Yearwood told Bonaguro while in Chicago on Sunday. “It’s been a great place to raise our girls, and the thing I’ll miss the most is that I’ve made some of the best friends I’ll ever have. But we’ll always be best friends.”
