Doug Burgum to Interior & Energy Council

A statement today by former-and-future-President Donald J. Trump, said, “Doug Burgum, the Governor of North Dakota, will be joining my Administration as both Secretary of the Interior and, as Chairman of the newly formed, and very important, National Energy Council, which will consist of all Departments and Agencies involved in the permitting, production, generation, distribution, regulation, transportation, of ALL forms of American Energy.

“This Council will oversee the path to U.S. ENERGY DOMINANCE by cutting red tape, enhancing private sector investments across all sectors of the Economy, and by focusing on INNOVATION over longstanding, but totally unnecessary, regulation. Day. “We’ve been able to diversify with a U-haul franchise and propane exchange–cheapest in Midtown–plus Bill Call’s amazing consignment tools and knives and watches, seriously, come check them out…” Day invited, suggesting we grab a bag of popcorn and go shopping.

A 2023 study by the Oklahoma City-based economic research firm RegionTrack found that oil and natural gas contributed $55.7 billion to Oklahoma’s gross domestic product. That figure represents 22 percent of all economic activity in the state. Moreover, the industry contributed nearly $3 billion in taxes last year.

Updated: Rep. Justin Humphrey, R-Lane, Tuesday released a scathing review of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA). Humphrey serves District 19 which includes parts of Atoka, Bryan, Choctaw and Pushmataha counties. OMMA offered a response which has been added at the end of this story.

“For the last year I have been working with whistleblowers from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority to expose improper and possible criminal acts. These whistleblowers have documented an abundance of shady purchasing practices, including failure to use purchase orders and conducting business without proper contracts.
