Airline mask mandate crashes

The Financial Times has an excellent summary of today’s end of the “Biden administration’s mask requirement for passengers on public transport, which officials extended just days ago… The decision on Monday from [Judge] Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, appointed by former president Donald Trump, threw the administration’s masking policy into confusion, and airline workers warned of the possibility of clashes between passengers and staff following the judgment.”

The Fox Guarding the Herpetarium

A red fox responsible for biting at least one journalist and a lawmaker has been euthanized, according to health officials in Washington, D.C.

Several days ago, a congressman had a nasty encounter with a rabid fox on the D.C. Capitol building grounds. Let’s trust that he is no worse for the wear. But the question lingers: How did the fox know he was from California? Is this some sort of sign from above?

They—whoever they are—say “as California goes, so goes the nation.” Let’s hope not. The California state legislature has put forth some bills that boggle the mind and seek to change family, physicians, and their relationship to the government forever.

Army Command violations on vaccine

The order to all Army commanders regarding COVID vaccines is clear, but all commanders are in violation of Army regulations issued in the September 14, 2021, Fragmentary Order (FRAGO) number 5 to the Headquarters Department of the Army COVID Operation Order that states: “Commanders will ensure sufficient doses of Department of Defense approved vaccines are on hand and available for their unit.”

“‘To be prepared for war is the most effectual means of preserving the peace.’ It was true in 1790 when President Washington said it, it was true in 1983 when President Reagan repeated it, and it remains true today. Preserving the peace requires serious investment — and the President’s defense budget falls short.

COVID Isn’t over for You

Even if you have had COVID, and some restrictions in your area have been lifted at least temporarily, life is definitely not normal, especially in medicine. We live under an increasingly authoritarian regime, which falsely claims to “follow the science,” but is really based on fear.

Warning: Much of what follows is “anecdotal,” scorned by the “evidence-based medicine” establishment. We can no longer believe our eyes and ears. Of course, a single or a few observations must be replicated before we change medical practice or societal policy—unless they support a politically correct objective. But what to do in the meantime? Wait for a study that will probably never be done because the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will not fund it?

Or at least listen to our patients and their associates?
