34 Candidates murdered in Mexico

Killed while campaigning for Mayor

As the Biden Administration effectively eliminates our Southern Border, Tulsa Today morns Alma Barragan, killed while campaigning for mayor of Moroleon in the violence-plagued Guanajuato state of Mexico – this makes 34 candidates (to date) murdered nationwide ahead of upcoming 6 June elections.

According to Sky News, Ms Barragan was running on the ticket of the Citizen’s Movement party, which in a statement said, “It is unthinkable that participating in political life means putting one’s life at risk. This is the most violent election in Mexican history… and we are not willing to act as if that is normal.“

Of course most American media cannot be bothered, but the killing occurred the same day she posted a Facebook Live video sharing her exact whereabouts – inviting voters to come and speak to her.

Open Letter: Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology

Congratulations on your appointment as the President’s White House “Cybersecurity Czar.”

Condolences that your appointment coincides with a looming existential threat to our nation from Cyber Warfare.  Russia’s cyber-attack on the Colonial Pipeline, that provides 45% of petroleum needed by the eastern U.S. for civilian and military use, preceded by Russia’s unprecedented SolarWinds cyber-attack on hundreds of federal departments and agencies, and thousands of industries and utilities, highlights U.S. vulnerability.

Just a few weeks ago, amidst concerns that Russia might invade Ukraine, Russia’s state-owned media warned that a Russia-U.S. Cyber War targeting critical infrastructures is “inevitable.”  Russia threatens it can win a Cyber War decisively by attacking the U.S. electric grid. Russian TV described cyber-attack options ranging from small-scale to existential threats, including: blacking-out part of New York City (Harlem was mentioned), or blacking-out the state of Florida, or blacking-out the entire continental United States.[1]

Thanks Biden: Inflation accelerating

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) climbed 4.2 percent annually in April. Compared with March, prices rose 0.8 percent according to the Department of Labor and generally under reported by media.  This CPI records the largest increase since 2008, but exclude food and energy, categories that can be volatile month-to-month.  CPI rose three times faster than the estimates of 2.3 percent.

Families can see the “food and energy” not included as they review expense for gas and groceries.  Federal Reserve officials reportedly believe this will last only a few months and that inflation will be transitory. Other economists worry the higher that expected jump in CPI could trend to “runaway inflation” which occurs when prices not only rise but accelerate, as the cost of living grows and consumer purchasing power falls.  Recent economic history in Venezuela show a modern “worst case” of inflationary impact often associated with Marxists governments.

Another report: China Virus from lab

The Sinclaire Broadcast Group is reporting on a classified study of the origin of SARS-CoV-2 conducted a year ago by scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Department of Energy’s premier biodefense research institution, concluded “the novel coronavirus at the heart of the current pandemic may have originated in a laboratory in China.” Sinclair is represented in Tulsa by KTUL, Channel 8.

“Researchers at Livermore’s “Z Division,” the lab’s intelligence unit, issued the report May 27, 2020, classified “Top Secret.” Its existence is previously undisclosed. The Z Division report assessed that both the lab-origin theory and the zoonotic theory were plausible and warranted further investigation. Sinclair has not reviewed the report but confirmed its contents through interviews with multiple sources who read it or were briefed on its contents,” the broadcast report noted.

COVID-19 and the Children

Politicians’ favorite line seems to be: “It’s for our children and grandchildren.” But what if we don’t have any?

People are still concerned about Paul Ehrlich’s “Population Bomb,” but apparently haven’t noticed that we are closing schools while building old people’s homes, where many staff members are immigrants and many residents have no one to visit them.
