U2 launches world tour from Tulsa

Following four days of rehearsals inside Tulsa’s BOK Center, veteran Irish rockers U2 unveiled their Experience + Innocence World Tour in front of an enthusiastic audience in the heart of America.

The only disappointment, if there was one, would be if you expected to hear a majority of the band’s older tunes, such as “Where the Streets Have No Name” from their acclaimed album “The Joshua Tree.”  There were no songs from that album included.  Continue reading

Timberlake returns to Tulsa

Pop superstar Justin Timberlake brought his “Man of the Woods” tour to Tulsa Saturday night and, for a couple of hours anyway, transformed the BOK Center into his own campground.  The main stage’s catwalk meandered through the arena, resembling a tree-lined nature trail including a campfire at one point. The multi-instrumentalist owned the stage from the moment he stepped out of the darkness, performing “Filthy” and “Midnight Summer Jam” from his latest album, his first in four years. Reigning ACM Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett unveiled his “Life Changes” Tour at Tulsa’s BOK Center Thursday night before an enthusiastic crowd of both new and longtime fans.
