River Parks New Playground Opens

The River Parks Authority will officially open today a brand-new playground located along the River Parks Trail at Riverside Drive and 17th Street. Designed to serve children of all ages and abilities, the new play space will be the largest playground amenity River Parks has ever offered to the community. River Parks is a collaborative independent bureaucracy funded by both the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County and one of four public park organizations within the county.

Director Takes on 110-Mile Challenge

Today River Parks Executive Director Jeff Edwards is taking on a challenge that no rider has attempted at Turkey Mountain: 110 miles of mountain bike riding in a single day. (No joke!)

Edwards will attempt this incredible task as part of the “One Tough Turkey” fundraising event. He hopes to raise funding support from those who have pledged a dollar amount per mile to fuel his mission and to rally the Tulsa community behind the future BOK Hub Visitor Center at Turkey Mountain.
