Gotta love Millennials

MillennialsCan Millennials enjoy parody of themselves?  Some say yes. Some say yes then disprove the answer with hate for all who disagree.  Odd that, but Micah Tyler in an all-vocal masterpiece off The Beatles’ hit song, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” delivers a bit of fun on topic.

The video was first provided as a parody to open a talk at the Church Leaders Conference encouraging people to see past the stereotypes and recognizing the unique potential that millennials have!

Imagine Translated

ImagineLenonOpinion:  Imagine there’s no heaven =  forget hope for a blissful hereafter. It’s easy if you try = let me do the thinking for you. No hell below us = no delineation between right and wrong. Above us only sky = God doesn’t exist. Imagine all the people living for today = ok, that’s pretty straight forward.

Imagine there’s no countries, it isn’t hard to do = a power vacuum that will be filled by people who want to dominate YOU.

Nothing to kill or die for = no love or concern for the freedom of your family and friends. And no religion, too = God doesn’t exist. Imagine all the people living life in peace = imagine a peace enforced by weapons you will always be on the wrong end of.

Fishwrap: Confidence in news hits bottom

Analysis: MediaThe Washington Examiner reported recently that confidence in newspapers has hit an all time low in the latest Gallup survey, and TV news is also at a new low, the latest proof that Americans are losing faith in the media.

Gallup found that just 20 percent have confidence in newspapers, a 10-point drop in 10 years. TV news saw an identical 10-point drop, from 31 percent to 21 percent.

But it could be worse. Of all the institutions Gallup surveyed on, Congress is at the bottom, with just 9 percent having confidence in America’s elected leaders, a finding that is clearly impacting the direction and tone of the 2016 elections.

Opinion Updated:  It must be nice to be a cartoonist. They are not required to be truthful or balanced in any regard. They can be odd and are not required to be correct in detail. Like Meteorologists in Oklahoma, paid regardless – right or wrong, rain or shine.

In the Sunday print edition of the Tulsa World, cartoonist Bruce Plante goes after Donald Trump. A safe easy target as all of Plante’s superiors are raving Leftists and only on the Left does any comedy reside – just ask them.

Republicans endorse Mayor Dewey Bartlett

TulRepubLogo1The Republican Party of Tulsa County‘s Executive Committee met Thursday night and voted unanimously to endorse the re-election of Republican Mayor Dewey Bartlett.

In addition, all members of the organization’s individually elected Central Committee independently made the same choice. These are respected grassroots leaders of conservative conscience elected by their peers in Tulsa.

For those nationally following this election cycle, Oklahoma Democrats have fielded multiple candidates registered as Republicans including the privileged grandson of a formerly-respected Republican mayor. The prodigy, G.T. Bynum, is arguably Tulsa’s most fitting local example of “statist” establishment. (Statism: concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government. Definition from Merriam-Webster)
