President Trump Addresses D.C. Crime

In an official memorandum for the Secretary of Defense, President Donald J. Trump Monday August 11, declared restoring law and order in the District of Columbia a national priority. It begins:

“As President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the District of Columbia National Guard, it is my solemn duty to protect law-abiding citizens from the destructive forces of criminal activity.  That obligation applies with special force in our Nation’s capital, where, as Commander in Chief of the District of Columbia National Guard, I must also ensure that all citizens can avail themselves of the right to interact with their elected representatives, and that the Federal Government can properly function, without fear of being subjected to violent, menacing street crime.

Improving Oversight of Federal Grants

In the stunning flow of President Donald J. Trump’s necessary governmental reforms, it is hard to keep up with what media has called the “fire hose of news.” Your local robust conservative outlet, Tulsa Today, is therefore glad to highlight a Presidential Executive Order we hope becomes a part of future legislation. It is focused on Federal Grantmaking “while ending offensive waste of tax dollars.”

Ensuring Transparency in Admissions

Yesterday in a memorandum to the Secretary of Education, President Donald J. Trump has officially directed adherence to the Supreme Court of the United States that “has definitively held that consideration of race in higher education admissions violates students’ civil rights.”

Further, “the persistent lack of available data — paired with the rampant use of ‘diversity statements’ and other overt and hidden racial proxies — continues to raise concerns about whether race is actually used in practice.  Greater transparency is essential to exposing unlawful practices and ultimately ridding society of shameful, dangerous racial hierarchies.“

Fair Drug Pricing Demanded

Last week, President Donald J. Trump sent letters to 17 of the leading pharmaceutical companies outlining steps they must take to lower prescription drug prices for Americans — including matching the lowest price offered in other developed nations. Fairness worldwide, what a great concept.

In a press release Monday, the White House asserted, “There is no reason American consumers should pay exorbitantly more than other countries for the same drug in the same packaging and manufactured in the same factory. That’s why President Trump warned the companies that if they ‘refuse to step up, we will deploy every tool in our arsenal to protect American families from continued abusive drug pricing practices.’”
