Warriors Honor Flight Returns to Tulsa

Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m., the quiet rhythm of Tulsa International Airport transformed into a patriotic symphony. Crowds of all ages — young, old, and elderly — gathered draped in red, white, and blue. Some waved small American flags. Others clutched handmade signs or proudly carried full-size flags on six-foot poles.

Israel and Hamas Peace Deal Signed

President Trump announced Wednesday evening that both Israel and Hamas have “signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan,” and all hostages will be released “very soon.”

According to The Times of Israel, a peace deal could be signed as early as today. “Sources in ‘the Palestinian resistance’ tell the Hezbollah-affiliated outlet al-Mayadeen that Hamas has agreed to a Gaza ceasefire deal, adding that it will be signed Thursday in Egypt,” the outlet reported on Wednesday.

The Demonic Democrat Shutdown

Most Americans want Democrats to end their disastrous government shutdown, according to a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll. The survey was conducted online within the United States October 1-2, among 2,413 registered voters.
 
It comes as service members and federal employees are set to miss their next paycheck, critical food assistance for low-income women and children is in dire jeopardy, states are staring down an economic catastrophe, and layoffs could be imminent — all because of Democrats’ sick push to give illegal aliens free health care. Republicans have a “clean” (no strings attached) proposal on the table.

The Real Problem with School Choice

Analysis: “School Choice” is the modern name for school vouchers.  Essentially, the idea is that money for schooling should follow a student wherever they go.  If they go to public school – great!  The public school gets the money.  But it is also fine if they go to a private school.  The private school will just get the money that would have gone to the public school.

Once upon a time I was in favor of this, and there are a lot of conservatives who favor this approach for a number of reasons.  I will also say that most of the criticisms of School Choice being brought out by either the public or the public school system almost completely miss the mark and misunderstand what is happening and what the goal is.  However, there is a deeper criticism of School Choice that I have come to recognize.
