The deadly EV-D68 enterovirus epidemic, which struck thousands of kids this fall, was likely propelled through America by President Barack Obama’s decision to allow tens of thousands of Central Americans across the Texas border, according to a growing body of genetic and statistical evidence and reported by both CBS News and The Daily Caller, but Democrats are race-baiting to retain power in Washington.

The Daily Caller writes: The evidence includes admissions from top health officials that the epidemic included multiple strains of the virus, and that it appeared simultaneously in multiple independent locations.

Updated: The Associated Press first reported and Twitter photos on The Blaze confirm from San Diego that a Mexican judge ordered the immediate release of a jailed U.S. Marine veteran who spent eight months (240 days) behind bars for crossing the border with loaded guns.

The judge on Friday directed Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi (Tah-mor-EE-si) to be freed because of his mental state and did not make a determination on the unsubstantiated illegal arms charges against the Afghanistan veteran diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, according to a Mexican official who acknowledged the ruling.

WH hindered, not helped, say Dems

BarackObamaGolf2The Hill posted an interesting report on Democrats casting blame on the White House as their sense of foreboding rises with the midterm elections next week. The core of the detractors’ argument they suggest: President Obama could be doing more to keep the Senate in his party’s hands.

But the president’s defenders say he is boxed in by political realities. Even as some Democrats call for him to be more vocal and prominent, candidates in battleground states are paddling furiously to put as much clear blue water as possible between themselves and the man in the White House.

Thunder falls short in opener

Thunder2012OKCPORTLAND, OR—The Oklahoma City Thunder had a great game going through three quarters on Wednesday night in Portland.  The Trail Blazers were stymied in every possession and as the fourth quarter dawned, it look as if the Kevin Durant-less Thunder might have themselves an opening night victory on the road in in the Moda Center.

Oklahoma City could not sustain in the fourth quarter however, and saw the lead that they had built going into the fourth quarter quickly evaporate.  The Trail Blazers passed and eventually topped the Thunder 106-89.
