Legislators to Halt Data Capture

A group of Oklahoma legislators, led by Sen. Kendal Sacchieri (R-Blanchard), has filed an emergency petition with the Oklahoma Supreme Court seeking an immediate stay and temporary injunction to prevent Service Oklahoma from transferring Oklahoma driver license and identification card data to the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators’ (AAMVA) State-to-State/SPEXS system, currently scheduled for mid-February 2026.

The petitioners argue that transferring sensitive identity data without explicit legislative approval could expose Oklahomans to heightened privacy and security risks and undermine public confidence in state institutions according to a media release today.

OK Rep. Pittman Pleads Guilty

Analysis: State Rep. Ayshia “Ajay” Pittman pleaded guilty today to felony charges related to submitting a forged check to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission following an investigation by Attorney General. As part of her sentence, Pittman will resign from her elected position in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

Oklahoma House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson, D-Oklahoma City released a statement in response worthy of careful review. Munson begins by saying,“I’ve been made aware of the resignation of Rep. Ajay Pittman” which begs the question of what it takes to get a Democratic Party Leader engaged in the democratic process or concerned about criminality of her party.

School Based Health Care Concerns

The rapid rollout of government‑run medical clinics in Oklahoma’s public schools is shifting our education system from teaching children to recruiting youth into government‑managed health programs. This School Based Health Care (SBHC) expansion places students at risk, weakens parental authority, and diverts schools away from their academic mission.

Taxpayers are left carrying a massive financial burden, while the structure of these programs opens the door to Medicaid misuse and serious statutory and constitutional violations. Oklahomans deserve transparency, lawful governance, and schools that prioritize education, not government‑run medical operations. You can make your voice heard on this topic Monday, February 2nd, at the OK State Capital.

Credit Card Debate False Assumptions

“Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.”

Those are the words of Nobel Prize-winning economist Milton Friedman. Oklahomans are seeing this lack of belief in freedom firsthand as out-of-state interest groups seek to raise the minimum wage. Not to be outdone, lawmakers in Washington share the same unbelief in freedom as they seek to pass the poorly named Credit Card Competition Act.

The CCCA attempts to push down interchange fees—or “swipe fees”—for credit card users by prohibiting banks from requiring merchants to use a specific network like Visa or Mastercard. The purported reason for doing so is to increase competition among payment networks. But market competition isn’t achieved through government mandates, and the CCCA primarily serves to expand the role of the federal government—and worse, the Federal Reserve—in the credit card market.
