World Agricultural Supply / Demand

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins, August 12, signed the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report. This is prepared monthly by the World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) and provides market-moving annual forecasts for supply and use of U.S. and world wheat, rice, coarse grains, oilseeds, and cotton.

“American farmers feed and fuel the world, and this report equips them with the trusted, timely data they need to make informed business decisions,” said Secretary Rollins. “Thanks to President Trump’s historic trade wins over the past few months, new and expanded market opportunities are opening for American agricultural producers in every corner of the world. Inflation Remains Low and Stable

With the release of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) yesterday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “[The] CPI report revealed that inflation beat market expectations once again and remains stable, underscoring President Trump’s commitment to lower costs for American families and businesses. The Panicans continue to be proven wrong by the data – President Trump’s tariffs are raking in billions of dollars, small business optimism is at a five-month high, and real wages are rising. The American people have rightfully put their trust in President Trump’s America First agenda that is Making America Wealthy Again.”

OSU Investment for Veterinary Medicine

In a gathering filled with gratitude and excitement, the Cowboy family came together Tuesday to recognize and celebrate the historic $250 million state funding appropriation for Oklahoma State University’s new veterinary teaching hospital.

Hosted at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center, the event drew state leaders, alumni, faculty, staff, students and supporters who helped make the project a reality.

“This is a day many of us have long envisioned — and your advocacy, support and persistence made it happen,” OSU President Jim Hess said. “Now, we go to work.”

President Trump Addresses D.C. Crime

In an official memorandum for the Secretary of Defense, President Donald J. Trump Monday August 11, declared restoring law and order in the District of Columbia a national priority. It begins:

“As President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the District of Columbia National Guard, it is my solemn duty to protect law-abiding citizens from the destructive forces of criminal activity.  That obligation applies with special force in our Nation’s capital, where, as Commander in Chief of the District of Columbia National Guard, I must also ensure that all citizens can avail themselves of the right to interact with their elected representatives, and that the Federal Government can properly function, without fear of being subjected to violent, menacing street crime.
