Conservative Washington protest media ignores

MarchForJobs1Hundreds or possibly thousands of people from across the country marched, sweated and called for lawmakers to end the push for “amnesty” on Capitol Hill Monday.

Organized by the Black American Leadership Alliance, The Daily Caller’s Political Reporter Caroline May covered the action in scorching heat from Freedom Plaza to Capitol Hill, where the protesters rallied in a demonstration against current immigration reform attempts.

“There are three kinds of people who support this amnesty,” Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King said before the march. “There are those people who are elitists, who want the cheap laborers to clean their houses and mow their lawn. Another are political power brokers that want the power that comes from it, and the third are employers of elitists.”

Golf classic benefits Folds of Honor

FoldsOfHonorThe Folds of Honor Foundation has been chosen as the charitable benefactor of the 16th Annual Golf Dimensions National Father & Son Team Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The 54-hole tournament will take place at eight local courses July 18-20.

The Folds of Honor Foundation is a charitable organization with a mission to empower military families by providing educational scholarships to children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation.

Theatre Tulsa auditions

LegallyBlondeTheatre Tulsa has announced the audition date for the first production of its 91st season, “Legally Blonde: The Musical.”

Auditions will be held Sunday, July 28, at 1 pm at Christ’s Church Episcopal, 10901 S. Yale.  Roles are available for all lead and supporting characters, plus several ensemble singers and dancers.

The show requires a mix of male and female actors ages 18 and up. Older teenagers who can play 18 are also welcome to audition.

The Event Center at River Spirit has added country music superstar Clay Walker to their summer concert line-up. Walker will perform on Friday, August 16 at 7:00 pm.

“We are excited to announce the addition of Clay Walker,” said General Manager, Jerry Floyd. “His unique style and sound resonates with fans of all ages!”

Clay Walker made his country music debut in 1993 with his smash hit “What’s It To You.” Since then, he has placed thirty-one titles on Billboard’s singles chart and had six No. 1 hit singles including “Dreaming with My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make Living,” “This Woman and This Man,” and “Rumor Has It.”
