The recently crowned Big 12 Player of the Year put in another 20+ point performance as the Shock (10-17) topped the Seattle Storm (9-19) 80-74 in front of a home crowd of 4,735 in the BOK Center on Tuesday night.

Why would the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) with limited notice and no definitive study reduce their meeting schedule from five days a week to two?

A recording of the OCC’s February 18, 2014 meeting suggests the change directly linked to Commissioner Patrice Douglas’ effort to win a seat in Congress from the Fifth District of Oklahoma. Thus the question for all Oklahomans: Are we paying this corporation commissioner to run for Congress?

TULSA, OK—The Tulsa Shock (9-17) returned home on Sunday afternoon to take on the Chicago Sky (10-16).

They had suffered through a pair of losses on the road in the last week in San Antonio and Washington coming off the WNBA All Star break, and they were anxious to get back on the winning track in front of the home crowd in the BOK Center.

In a letter to President Barack Obama, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin today called on the president to end the “secrecy” surrounding the use of military facilities around the country to hold illegal immigrant minors. One of those facilities, Fort Sill, is located in Oklahoma.

Fallin called on Obama to formally explain reports that run contrary to the messages his administration has sent to the public and why the administration asks the state of Oklahoma to indefinitely host a large population of illegal immigrants and to pay for their educational and health needs after they are released.

Youth may apply for bonus deer hunts

DeerAntilerlessYouth1Beginning young hunters will have a chance this fall to participate in bonus antlerless deer hunts that will take place on private lands in four Oklahoma counties.

Youths may submit applications for the hunts that will be held Oct 3-5 in Osage County; Nov. 7-8 in Ellis County; Oct 17 (with orientation Oct. 16) in Love County; and Nov. 21-22 in Carter County.
