Tulsa Goes to the Dogs

More than 1,000 of the nation’s most elite dogs will descend on Tulsa this weekend for the Mid-Continent Kennel Club of Tulsa’s annual All-Breed Dog Show, a three-day celebration of canine competition and charisma.

This beloved national event April 25–27 at the SageNet Center at Expo Square, is an American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned gathering that draws top dogs—and their handlers—from more than 20 states, competing for coveted titles in conformation, speed, strength, and showmanship.

Admission is free and open to the public. Invite friends, this will be fun.

Walters Enforces DEI Mandate

Today, State Superintendent Ryan Walters announced in a release that the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) will begin withholding federal education funds on April 25 from school districts that fail to sign the required federal Title VI assurance. This assurance, mandated by the U.S. Department of Education, confirms that schools will not engage in discriminatory practices under the guise of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). This may be a horrific shock to the Tulsa Public Schools (TPS) System.

Gambling Addiction: Oklahoma 7th

With the gambling industry bringing in a record $71.9 billion in revenue last year, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2025’s Most Gambling-Addicted States, as well as expert commentary, in order to highlight where this dangerous addiction is most prevalent.

WalletHub compared the 50 states across 20 key metrics. The data set ranges from the presence of illegal gambling operations to lottery sales per capita to the share of adults with gambling disorders.

Oklahoma Strong

Oklahoma City, OK – 30 years ago today, tragedy struck our community, and 168 beloved Oklahomans were lost in the worst act of homegrown terrorism in our nation’s history. My family and I join with Oklahomans across the state in remembering the innocent lives we lost to the Oklahoma City bombing and the loved ones left behind on that horrible day.
